Home Sweet Home

It is hard to believe we have been living in our new house for a month already! I seriously don't know where time goes! It has been a crazy month, to say the least, but I think we are really starting to feel settled. Thanks to the fact that this was a "corporate relocation" complete with packers, movers, and unpackers (seriously - we were so spoiled...I don't know if I can ever move non-corporate style ever again), coupled with the fact that we have two awesome sets of parents that helped tremendously with either watching the munchkin so we could get stuff done, or jumping right in with the cleaning, painting and organizing - we would never be where we are today without all their help. Thank you so much moms and dads (and Maura and Greg!)!!! There is still some work that needs to be done to make it feel more like "home" (ie: furniture in the family room would help, hanging pictures, decorating, new window treatments, etc.), but I can honestly say we are unpacked and feeling pretty good. We love the house and the neighborhood and are so thankful to be living here. Rylee is pretty happy with her new house as well...which came complete with an adorable playroom, fenced-in back yard and a nice open floor plan for her to safely run around in. So different from our old house that was pretty much impossible to baby proof! Now if I could just meet some mom's with babies Rylee's age, we would be all set (oh how we miss our CT friends)! :(

Anyways, so there is a little update for ya...and here are some pics for you to enjoy of Rylee enjoying her new home (and time with her wonderful, extremely helpful grandparents!!).

I think I like it here! I am free to toddle around as I please...

I have carpeted steps to climb (or fall!) up and down
A big back yard to play in...
with my doggies!Big windows right at my level to gaze out of and watch the birdies ("twee, twee")

with curtains to hide behind... And best of all....Grandparents close by that will be visiting alot more!!! And when they are visiting, I am the perfect little helper...

here Grandma, let me show you how it's done...

and distracter... Please don't go back to cleaning the windows, Papa!! I just love my new home and can't wait for you to come and visit!!
